Tower Renovations - Women’s Services

Leach Wallace and Wake Forest Baptist Health worked collaboratively on the phased upgrades to the Reynolds Tower, North Tower and Ardmore Patient Towers. These three (3) major projects were part of a phased master plan initiative to provide extensive Women’s Services to the WFBH campus. The first phase of the project was the replacement of the existing HVAC infrastructure serving Reynolds Tower. The second phase provided renovation of the 8th and 11th floors of the Reynolds Tower to support new Medical/Surgical Patient Rooms on each floor. This specific phase renovated approximately 36,000 sf of space and 56 Patient Rooms to the Hospital. The third phase of the project included the renovation of approximately 123,000 sf of space on floors 10 and 11 in Ardmore Tower West and the 11th floor of Ardmore Tower East and North Tower. The completed project includes 30 private Ante-Partum and Post-Partum patient rooms and holding nursery on the 10th floor. On the 11th floor, there are nine triage rooms, four preparation and recovery rooms and four Ob-Gyn procedure rooms. There are 17 labor and delivery rooms, four of which are dedicated to alternative deliveries with on-staff certified nurse midwives in a home-like setting. Ardmore Tower East and North tower were renovated to provide 51 private NICU patient rooms with 2 NICU rooms available for twins.
