NEW INPATIENT TOWER & EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
Leach Wallace was the design engineer, and commissioning agent, for the mechanical and electrical designs for the new inpatient tower and emergency department at Franklin Square Medical Center. The new construction and renovation totaled 316,274 square feet. The project consisted of a seven-story, 290,000 square foot building addition, largely in the form of a new Emergency Department, a patient tower with a rooftop penthouse and a new 18,000 square foot central chiller/boiler plant. The plant serves both the existing hospital and the new addition.
