Eli Powell has been promoted to the position of Senior Project Engineer. Eli joined the Leach Wallace Team in Charlotte in February 2016 as a Mechanical Project Engineer. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Karen Gleba has decided to return to Leach Wallace as a full time Project Manager in our York office. Karen has been with the firm for over 23 years, most recently as a part time Senior Project Engineer. With her return, she has been promoted to the position of Project Manager and will be reporting to Matt Peffley.

Thursday September 27th, employees of Leach Wallace enjoyed a social hour during their fundraising kickoff party for the Polar Bear Plunge.

The Special Olympics of Maryland provided a presentation for the kickoff celebration. Brave Leach Wallace employees will honor the Maryland tradition in January of 2019 and take the plunge to benefit the athletes.

Leach Wallace Associates, Inc. was recently selected as the MEP Engineers of record along with team members Schwartzsilver Architects for the Renovation of the Beneficial-Hodson Library and Information Technology Center Project at Hood College.

Hood College is transforming the Beneficial-Hodson Library and Technology Center into a contemporary Learning Commons which will create a student-centric facility that combines the functions of a library, laboratory, classroom and lounge into a single community gathering space with required support services.

As Penn State Health moves forward on multiple fronts to make needed improvements to its facilities, the organization has concluded its search for a planning and design firm to handle a major renovation within the south addition of Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Selected from a group of 10 firms, Flad will convert what is now the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the Continuing Care Nursery and Pediatric Progressive Care to a state-of-the-art medical intensive care unit with a minimum of 24 beds, as well as expanded nurse and physician support space, anesthesia space and storage space.

Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) Contract

Operating under an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) contract, Leach Wallace Associates, Skanska, Inspira Health Network, and Array Architects are currently building a new state-of-the-art five-story, 466,000 square foot hospital. The 204-bed hospital consists of operating rooms, an emergency department, imaging suites, administrative space, dining and support services and a new central utility plant.
