AIR HANDLING UNIT REPLACEMENT

The Morris Building on the campus of Duke University Medical Center had not had an infrastructure upgrade since the building was constructed in 1979. The existing air systems consisted of five air handling units including one dedicated outside air / energy recovery unit that served the other four primary units. The scope of the project required replacement of all five units in a phased manner to continue to serve the occupied building. The design of the replacement units was based upon the recommendations outlined in a previous AHU Replacement Study developed by Leach Wallace.
