Leach Wallace performed an energy survey for the Atrium Health University Hospital, 280,000 square foot, approximately 100 bed facility. The building has a seven story patient tower, three story maternity wing, and several low rise wings that house administration functions, as well as the Central Utility Plant (CUP) for the complex.
Leach Wallace’s Energy Services Team surveyed the University Hospital facility to evaluate components and operations of the MEP, automatic temperature controls, and lighting systems. This first stage high level analysis was instrumental in providing insight into the building systems’ operations and current performance. 18 potential energy related conservation measures (ECM’s) were identified by our team for presentation to the facility. The ECM’s identified in the report were the first stage of an evaluation to determine how the healthcare provider could bring the facility more in line with their corporate goals and industry standards.
